This film is based in part on the life of the true Barry Seal. In the early months of 1986, the then-sixty-year-old pilot Barry Seal was shot in his car in clear daylight. The world is going to end – thank god for science! 

The world is ending on September 23, according to a biblical prophecy. [UPDATE: it didn’t :)]

The earth will not completely perish, but the world will no longer be the same as we know it. That’s what Christian numerologist David Meade says to The Washington Post. A third season for Stranger Things on Netflix

The creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer have already announced a third season of the popular Netflix series. The brothers finally hope to make four seasons.

The second series is available from October 27, but Ross Duffer says he does not want to call it “season two”. It should feel like the second part of a movie. “With a successful film, the sequel should always be more spectacular,” said Duffer in Vulture.

YouTube started workshops for teens to fight fake news

At least in the UK Google has launched a series of day-long workshops for 13 to 18-year-olds, as part of YouTube’s ‘Creators for Change’ programme. The programme started this week and aims at tackling various social issues online, as well as promoting “awareness”, “tolerance and empathy”. The sessions come in the wake of recent backlash over YouTube’s restricted mode, which some users claim censors videos with LGBTQ+ content, and the spread of misinformation online.
